Privacy Policy
Three of Spades is published by North Horizon Capital LLC. It has no accounts. We never ask for your email address, phone number, contacts or location, and the game contains no adverts, no analytics and no in-app purchases.
The name you enter
To create or join a room you type a player name of up to 12 characters. It does not need to be your real name. The name is stored with the room so other players can see who is at the table.
- In a private room, only people you share the room code with can join and see it.
- In a public room, anyone using the app can find the room and join it, and will then see the names at the table.
Names containing offensive words are refused. The host of a room can remove a player, and a removed name cannot rejoin that room.
Game data
While a game is played, the room holds the table size, the seats, whether each seat is a bot, and the game itself: cards, bids, trump, partners and scores. This is stored in Google Firebase, which runs the multiplayer service. Google processes it on our behalf to deliver the game.
Rooms are temporary. We delete rooms that have had no activity for 10 days, along with the names and game data in them.
Problem reports
If a game stops advancing or the app cannot save a move, it sends us an automatic report so we can fix the bug. A report contains the app and operating system version, the room code, the seat number of the player affected (not their name), a snapshot of the game at that moment, a short list of the app's recent steps, and the error message. Reports are readable only by us, and are kept until the problem is fixed.
On your device
The app stores one setting on your device: whether you have already seen the tutorial. Deleting the app removes it.
Children
Three of Spades is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Use any name you like; it does not have to identify you.
- Play in a private room to keep the table to people you invite.
- To ask about, or request deletion of, a room or report, email support@north-horizon-capital.com with the room code.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
